The Official Family Obituary

Toby Lorraine Turner was reported missing in September of 2005.  Her remains were found on November 9th, 2007, buried in the back yard of her family home. She was 42 years old at the time of her death.  Toby was a remarkably gifted, kindhearted, outgoing  and beautiful woman who shared her creativity and love of life unselfishly.   She was loved by many and considered by most who knew her to be a very giving, loyal, and sweet woman.  Her family has been shattered by her unexpected death at such a young age, and her many friends will be forever haunted by this tragic loss. Toby is survived by her three beautiful children: Sean Christopher, Randi Ranee, and Dakota Beauty, as well as her Mother Lula Mae Renteria, her five sisters: Cindy Villa, Susan Thims, Becky Kosen, Leah Dunsmore-Underhill, Lula Mae Alarcon, and her brother Darryl Dunsmore.

A public memorial service was held by her family at Neighborhood Baptist Church in Ramona on Saturday January the 12th, 2008, with the request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the D.A.S.H. Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to teach young girls how to avoid domestic violence.
